Golencell Powers Zaozhuang’s First Virtual Power Plant with Advanced Energy Storage Solutions
Goldencell Powers Zaozhuang’s First Virtual Power Plant
Launch of Zaozhuang VPP
On May 10, 2025, Zaozhuang launched its first city-level Virtual Power Plant (VPP), developed by Zaozhuang Caijin Holding Group Co., Ltd., with full participation from Goldencell. The project uses real-time monitoring, intelligent forecasting, and dynamic energy storage optimization to adjust supply and demand during peak and off-peak hours, improving grid flexibility and energy efficiency.
Goldencell’s Contribution
In February 2025, Goldencell signed an entry agreement for the VPP as one of the city’s first contracted users. The project integrates industrial and commercial users, distributed solar systems, energy storage stations, and EV charging infrastructure. Goldencell contributes 20 MW of load, including a 7.4 MW / 17.3 MWh energy storage system, creating a total VPP capacity of 46.85 MW with 6.526 MW adjustable load.
Driving Smart Energy Solutions
Goldencell leverages its products and capabilities to advance digital energy solutions, including solar energy recycling, energy storage deployment, and smart energy management. The company promotes the “energy storage + virtual power plant” model, coordinating generation and storage, implementing peak-valley regulation, demand response, and power trading to reduce costs and optimize resources.
Innovative Energy Management
A virtual power plant aggregates distributed energy, adjustable loads, and storage, combining intelligent control and communication technologies. Goldencell builds a smart, digital energy management platform for efficient grid interaction and supports applications like “VPP + integrated energy services” and “VPP + energy efficiency solutions,” helping Zaozhuang optimize its energy structure and achieve carbon neutrality goals.
